A Fun DIY Project – A Mini Stove for Your Little Cook

Need a DIY gift idea for your favorite child? How about this cute little toy stove? Your little one will have hours of fun "cooking" and surprising you with his or her creations.
DIY Project - a Mini Stove for your Little Cook
What's needed:
a small or medium size plastic tote and lid
vinyl decals (the stove top set) from Wall Decor Plus More
                a little patience

You'll appreciate that this mini stove comes with its own storage (the tote) for all the kitchen "utensils" your child will need and want. You can find these at Walmart for less than $20, or go through your own extra supplies, or check out a garage sale or thrift store.

Ready to start?        Have the LID clean and free of dust or dirt.
Position the decals like in the youtube video (above).
Voila! Your mini stove is ready for "cooking." It's that easy!

Are you crafty? Or do you know someone who is? A kid-size apron will add to the fun. So would some small size potholders or oven mitts (sew them, knit them, crochet them?). Remember those potholder looms? If your kid is old enough, help them make their own potholders!

This mini stove is portable so you can take it outside to add the extra fun of sand and/or water, pebbles, and sticks. Before you put the mini stove away make sure the "stove" stickers are clean and dry so it will be ready for the next cooking session.

It's amazing how long "cooking" can keep little ones busy, indoors or out! You can "cook" with your child or just "eat" whatever they whip up. Don't forget to take pictures!
